Ok , so ive had my s2k for about half a year. I done a little to it :

Invidia q300 exhaust
Berk Decat

Drilled + grooved discs front and rear

Im looking at putting a supercharger on now and wanted to know is there any other mods or upgrades i need to do before i buy one and attach it ?
Also if i can find one second hand is it ok to buy or should i stay away and buy one brand new ?

I would do a clutch depending on which SC you go with power wise. and Second hand is ok just make sure it doesnt have a ton of miles on it. and see how the owner used his car. IF say just for driving around town should be good. If for racing I would stay away just my 2cents

ok thanks , i have done a bit research and what i understand is that , you dont really have to modify the engine at all . What about a better exhaust manifold ?

Very few manifolds will net you any gains outside of a j's racing, not worth upgrading from stock imo, and many others opinions.

If you are going with a SC a BERK or Hytech both have shown good mid range power which is what I would recommend other then those dont waist your money on the expensive JDM parts.

The S and centri blowers have become nearly formuleic in regards to getting to 400whp:
In addition to what you have already and aforementioned clutch,
Size pulley for 13 psi
Add 900-1000cc injectors
Add upgraded fuel pump
engine management: aem, hondata, haltech
tune
Enjoy.

Well, if you just want to run it at the "Stage 1" boost level of 6-7 PSI, you don't really need anything else other than the items that come with the kit. The stock clutch can handle the Stage 1 power of ~300 WHP as long as its not already worn out. But if you plan on running at a higher boost level, then you'll need to start looking into all the items that bruthaboost mentioned up above.

If you're buying a used kit, I'd recommend looking at the list of items that comes with a new kit from CT or SOS (I know that CT has the list on their website) and comparing to what the seller is giving you in his used kit. More than likely there will be components missing, like the Walbro 255 fuel pump, or the rising-rate fuel pressure regulator, or the ESM module, (these are items from the kit that are required to run that "Stage 1" boost level without needing an aftermarket ECU). Be sure you know exactly what you're getting, and exactly what else you'll need to make it run.

Right , that's great feed back thanks..
I think I'll be best off buying one from scratch then , and yes I will have it at stage one (at least for a while )

How do you get it to stage 2 though . Do you do it via ecu , or do you change the sc itself ?

To upgrade from Stage 1 to Stage 2 (from 6-7 PSI to anything higher than that) you have to purchase the items that bruthaboost mentioned... clutch, smaller pulley, injectors, and engine management are the main things. You may also upgrade your heat exchanger, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and other various things if desired or needed for your power goals. All other components of the SC kit remain unchanged.

Great info ,much appreciated... Now if I can just find a super charger for a decent price , I don't really want to pay 4.5 grand for one brand new
