Default s/c cooling question

Im about to s/c my s and i had a few questions about cooling
im going with the ct s/c kit witch comes with the after cooler.
From my understanding the after cooler is the most efficient cooling system for that setup at stock boost it does its job and has minimal boost loss.

I dont think ill be running at stock boost for long just need a bit more money to run around 9 psi witch is were i essentially want to be at when all said and done.
With that said im looking at two options the UR FMIC or an upgraded heat exchanger

So my question is what is everyones opinion on what i should do. I do love the aggressive look of a FMIC but i heard there could be 2-3 psi loss. Is there any heat exchangers that give almost the exact illusion of a FMIC? I know SOS has one but it looks pretty small from the pics and it doesnt look like it mounts close to the bumper nor does it really look like a front mount.

Does anyone have any solutions or answers of me wanting the look of a FMIC but not having to deal with a loss in psi like 2-3 psi.

Last I looked, SOS makes one that looks/same size as an fmic. You might want to check again. But at 9-10psi, the stock system still works pretty well. You will need the larger pump to go with the larger heat exchanger just fyi.

I would def just get a larger heat exchanger. I bought one from ebay and so did a buddy and both have been working great. $119 shipped.

Unless you're just doing it for looks I'd stay with the aftercooler at least to start. I've been running a CT SC/AC with the 9lb. pulley for a year and a half without issue.

If you're not a serious track junkie the car's not going to see 9lbs. of boost that often.

I highly recommend a SOS heat exchanger upgrade. I had one on my CTSC setup and it worked great. I say a HUGE different in intake air temps. Ironically, I just sold my CTSC and have a SOS front mount heat exchanger I am looking to sell, but I have not listed it yet.

check PMs

This is all slightly for looks but im still looking for some efficency out of it

now my other question is whats you opinions on getting a UR fmic and getting a smaller pulley like a 4" to make up for the boost loss witch should put me at about stock boost, will it be more effective ? I know itll look cool and its actually cheaper then an aftercooler setup. Will i need any other supporting mods for this though other then what ct provided?

fmic with sc's seem to not be so great. An aftercooler with a larger heat exchanger would be much more beneficial.
And if your mostly wanting it for looks, people always think my heat exchanger is a fmic.

What makes them bad? Also you said 119 shipped for a heat exchanger could you point me in the direction of that one, also did you buy an sos upgrded pump for that setup aswell?
