x2 w/S2000 Junky...

There's certainly a parasitic loss to any supercharger setup, even roots Mugen, it's why our peak HP numbers per PSI cannot match the turbo setups. We are simply less efficient.

That being said, drivability is largely like stock (although I have some bigger injectors firing at idle so it's a bit rough) and, at cruise, you're not getting QUITE the mpg you could NA. However, to say that you're getting shitty mileage because of a supercharger is a gross overstatement...it's really not that bad. I noticed a much bigger difference going to the standalone and bigger injectors...probably because my foot is up in it all the time.

damn, i just looked, big boy injectors Courage. i run 650's and i agree, here and htere you get a pop or hiccup. its becuase RC injectors suck below like 15% duty cycle or some shit like that. ID725, ID1000, and ID2000 i read are the jam!

wish i knew about them before i went RC 650.

regardless, with my blower setup i saw about 1-3mpg decrease in mileage around town and on the highway. BUT, as courage said,

my foot is up in it all the time.

Hehe...I don't mind the rough idle. It makes the car sound pissed off at a stop light.
I increased my idle rpm to about 1400 and that helped smooth it out a bit.

I used to get ~300 miles on a tank when i was N/A. Now with the SOT setup I am getting ~245 miles out of it.

The car seems to have the need to shift faster or the rpms are higher now. I dont know how to explain it but it felt different for sure.

if you're not gunning it then the bypass valve lets out the boost. so you will only boost when you are at WOT. even though the SC is always spinning and producing boost it is not always going to the engine

Thats true, but if you want to be a bit more exact, you actually build boost at about half throttle up. The butterfly at half throttle or slightly less allows enough air in to build boost. Up to about 35% throttle position is at the threshold of vacuum/boost. If you have a vacuum/boost gauge you can verify this. So the FI is being bypassed or recirculated depending on your set up method up to this throttle % point.

^^thanks for the correction. i knew it could build boost at less than WOT but wasn't exactly sure at what point. and the amount you build at WOT is just so much greater than at any partial throttle point so i just said WOT haha
