Default S2000 AP1 Kpro - Safe inputs/outputs for W/M and Nitrous?

Installing a wet NX nitrous kit and water/meth this weekend on my AP1. I'm already running Hondata KPro v4. I do my tuning myself, but haven't worked much with KPro specifically.

I see a list of inputs (arming) and outputs (solenoid control); are all of these free game, or is it depending on whether certain systems have been removed (like secondary air pump, for example)? I see options such as E21 VSV EVAP Vent, E20 2WBS EVAP Bypass, E18 ACC AC Clutch, and B6 FANC Fan Control (leaving the full names here in case someone else needs to search on this in the future). Can I just pick and choose, and just tap into the existing wire (vampire tap), or do I need to cut and splice?

Also, assuming the mapping is according to the KPro manual, so that E21 (EVAP Vent) for example isn't actually on E21 on the S2000, it's on A4. Correct?

Thank you!

Attachments have pictures both from KPro Mgr, and pinout of the KPro (incl. S2k mapping).

"according to the KPro manual, so that E21 (EVAP Vent) for example isn't actually on E21 on the S2000, it's on A4. Correct?"

This is correct, you want to use the chart at the bottom for the AP1 S2000 if you're running a K-Pro (swapped valve cover and all). For example when I installed my traction control I needed to tap into the ELD, which is pin A30 for the S2000 not E15 as shown in the pin guide. My advice is do not tap into the wire you're going to use. Cut it, because you will no longer be able to use it for it's previous purpose, then solder and shrink wrap your connection.

The guy who had my car before me didn't do this and I eventually had to go over all of his work and solder it all properly. Just save yourself the work later.

Correct, use the pin out chart/K series to S2000 conversion chart to determine what pin you want to use. Once you have established what you do not want to use anymore, cut the wire and that circuit is now dead. Evap is my first choice.

I have a thread detailing adding wiring to Kpro4, it’s quite detailed. It’s called the RAIN H8R gaugeART can gauge thread in the electronics/ECU sub forum. Have a look.

Fantastic! Thank you. I’ll have a look at that.

Read through your thread, and it's very helpful. Wiring diagram is perfect, and very similar to where I'm going with my car! One newbie question, though, is I can't figure out how to identify the ECU wiring (keep second guessing myself, and don't want to cut the wrong wire!)

First of all, the Hondata KPro help file says there should be three connectors; A, B, and E. I have 4 connectors (huh?). One large gray, one small gray, another large blue, then another small gray. Why am I seeing 4 when Hondata says there should be 3? (I bought this car a few months back with the Hondata already installed. My S2000 is supercharged.)

Second, when looking at the A connector (assuming that's the one I've pulled in the picture below), this one has 11 connectors in the top row (not 9 like Hondata says), where there are first 4 connected wires (PHO2S, IGP2, IGP1, and PG2 according to Hondata), then one skipped (no PG1), then one connected (red cable - PHO2S+), then two skipped (no CKP and no IMRC VPC?), then two connected (pin 9 KS... and.. a magic pin 10, which doesn't exist on the first line according to Hondata). This doesn't make sense, and I'm sure I missing something vital.

Is the connected I pulled not the A-connector? Am I reading it wrong? What's up with the last connector on the right, with what seems to me to be all the extra K-series sensors?

It didn't make it better that I found the following diagram, which seems to match the color scheme and pinout of my S2000 plugs perfectly (except for pins A-3 and A-4 which are connected on my ECU, but not in the Hondata manual). However, the pinout is completely different. Take pin A9 for example. The Honda ECU manual says this should be a blue/white wire that is the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). The connector I'm looking at has a blue/white wire in pin A9. All seems good. But then the Hondata manual says pin A9 should be KS, and VSS should be pin 18. What?

Color me confused..

Shout out to this thread! I rewired my car with this advice. I emailed him when I got stuck and he was awesome with his advice. Thank you again!

Just to close this off, I did chose to cut A3 and A4 (Orange and White/Green) for VSV and 2WBS (EVAP), and have successfully repurposed these. A3 is used for Meth/Water control, used as GND = on to control a relay that provides a direct chassis GND through a relay to the meth pump; 12V to the pump is provided directly from the progressive boost-based meth/water controller (Snow 212). A4 is used as GND = on to control +12V to the nitrous and fuel solenoids through a relay.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

No worries! Just took it one step at a time with plenty of testing in between and it all worked out.
