The way you are set up there you are getting 0 boost. It's just leaking out the flange on the charge pipe.

You need some sort of valve to release that air at idle and off throttle, but contain it when you're on the throttle.

The one supplied by Comptech is a cheap Bosch unit.

I'd suggest a TurboSmart Kompact.

BTW, a Godzilla won't work unless you have a aftercooler.

congrats on the install.

Personally, I didn't notice a lot of low-end spunk with my Comptech kit. But above 4500rpm it was a whole new beast!

The whole intake tube/assembly comes with it? He will need this to make use of that.

I found this

I couldnt really translate what the different ones were or what they mean, but is one a stronger version of the bosch valve with alittle woosh sound?

^^^ the comptech supplied one is not a BOV, its a recirculation valve, so instead of blowing to atmosphere like these and making that woosh sound, it blows back into the intake system with no sound, hence the recirculation part.

The OP is not set up for the recirc valve anymore since his Comptech intake assembly is missing, so he needs to run a compatible BOV for what he has. The link I provided is an example of that type of BOV. The others need a flange on the intake or A/C to bolt onto which he doesn’t have.

Thanks everyone for such great help! S2ki forum is the best ever!

Ok, update... i actually do have the airbox and recirc valve installed. No wonder the car felt great! So the video up top was taken just before the airbox was installed. The tragedy now, is that i bought a bov last night in all the excitement. But i'm not even sure it would work!

I bought a synchronic bov and not sure how or if it will even work with the Comptech icebox and recirc system being all in place. DOH! Do I need to return this bov?

I guess a better question is, does anyone have the oldschool comptech system like me and is also running a synchronic bov? is it even possible?
