Default s2000 forced induction question

I just sold my 240 and im buying an ap2 when i get back from deployment. im not new to the car scene, but i have a few questions about the s2000. i love the car and theres no doubt that i am getting one, but i need more power and im trying to figure out what route to go. i was wondering if the inline pro kit is totally safe to run on a stock motor (of course given that it has proper tuning and maintenence)? or is the greddy kit more reliable? i noticed that the greddy kit makes no where near as much power so i was just wondering if inline pro is pushing the limits of the motor. any help is greatly appreciated.

The internals of the motor are pretty solid (forged iirc) things like the gasket and strengthened valve springs are needed... not sure on the rest...

I had a look at the Greddy and gives you such minimal gains...worth spending a little bit more to get the inlinepro kit to work

The greddy kit and inline-pro make close to the same power out of the box without upgrading the kit. Inline will make a bit more, however the inline kit is more upgradable over time if you want big numbers. But the extra power comes with a price. The greddy kit can be done at home has great instructions at will get you near 300hp which makes for a pretty fast car at a fair price. Both are good options figure out whats best for you. Factor in clutch, tuning, and gauges into your costs.

as for the supercharging route, from what ive gathered it is somewhat cheaper... is this because sc requires less parts or what?

sc is cheaper because you don't need any engine managemet and injectors etc if you are gonna run stock boost which will make 300whp. it is nothing compared to a turbo though.

inlinepro is safe. all you need is a good tune and a 3mm headgasket. i am putting down 450+whp with all stock motor (just a headgasket). mine is not inlinepro but doesn't make a difference. a close friend of mine was also making the same amount of power with just a headgasket.
