The 1220 blower used on the SOS kit is the same as the 1200 minus the impeller. Change that out and its good for another 5 psi. I can make 12 psi If I run up to 8200 which I don't like to do. 3 want to make 14 psi at 8000 and stop there.

Just wanted to run it by the forum and see what people think. I don't drag my car, only race is a little street run now and then from a 2nd gear roll.

I don't want to kill my car but always like more power, especially more at lower rpm.

That said, I love my SOS kit!

^^^ I run my stock f22 to 9k almost daily without a wimper. Hell, theres another free 15/20whp on the top end if you let the motor rev. The valvetrain is stronger then the f20 and short burst up to redline isnt going to hurt anything on the bottom end, its already underated at 8k rpm, 8500rpm is the matched piston rpm on the f20. I think your short changing yourself if you stick to the stock rev limit with an SC if the motor can take it.

Have you dynoed yours? I'd be interested in seeing your HP curve.

My multiple dynoes and others I've seen run out of steam around 8500rpm - AP1/AP2 alike. There's no reason to wind it out if you're looking for max HP.

With that said, I've been known to bang against the redline every now and then.
