Default Safty with Comptech

I am soon going to purchase a comptech aftercooled sc kit for my 03' and i wanted to know if simply installing the kit had any adverse affects on the car. I read that some people were running lean post install on the vortech (i understand that this is a different sc) i just want to make sure that after the install the engine will remain safe for a daily driver. Also what kind of fuel milage can i expect post install?

You ask the hard questions.

After the install have it dynoed with the AF ratio checked. This will let you know it is safe or not. If it is safe you will have many miles of smiles.

Your mileage is directly related to your right foot.

So engine wise the a/f is the only real point of concern, have and new sc units experianced problems with this out of the box? Should the milage change from NA to sc though, i would think under vtec there would be litttle boost so milage wouldnt vary much.

Out the box your FPR should be set from Comptech. If you want to dyno it to be safe it's up to you. I know people who have done both.

Gas is adversely effected by 2-3 miles per gallon dependant on your driving style. Obviously if you are always on the gas...it will drop drastically. Normal cruising your gas mileage should be pretty close.
