Default SC 0 to 60, 1/4 mile time?

How much does a SC improve 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times? Is it worth the $5000?

For fun I did a run yesterday with a stock Vortech and my gf besides me holding my notebook with digimoto sw on it. It wasn't a straight, more a s curve on a normal highway here in Germany. I got off with not so much wheelspin due to 6 degrees celsius of ambient temp (brrrrr, cold), but the tires where pretty cold.

With all these factors I had a high 12, will post the video from the digimoto soon (I have currently a competition running in the german forum about how fast I was, so I can't tell more).

I don't know stock S numbers, but I was going pretty fast, lowest intake temp was 33 degree celsius due to my self built CAI.

BTW, I put about 20000 Euro into the upgrade of the car so far, not 5000 US $. It's not just installing the vortech if you run fast on german highway (see my video on my hp about doing 275 km/h), it killed the engine.

Just my 0.02 $

Andreas

Boosted04S2k is that with only a SC or many other upgrades?
C45P312 I haven't driven one, I rarely even see other S's
A4XRBJ1 the proves my point, a SC will take almost 1 sec off 1/4mile

Maybe it would be cheaper to get a 2002 ZO6

the Z06 would definitely be much faster than a normal supercharged S2000 and would also have MUCH more potential.... If you can afford it, and want a lot of power I'd say the Z06 is definitely the better car to go with if you're going for 1/4 mile times and high power...

j5669, yes that is only with the S/C.

If you want raw power go for the Z06......

I like how the S drives it's a very fun car to drive.

Shaving a second is more about the driver than the car. If you can't get off the line good, you can't get off the line. That would be me! And because of that, I don't drag. Now... ask me about a rolling, second-gear run from 40 mph...

Could you please define that?
What is the problem and how it is dealt with?
