Default SC compatibility

my friend with an ap2 is getting rid of his SC .. great price... just wondering if it will fit on my Ap1 .. when you go to buy these kits you have to specify the year and everything and obviously ours do not fall into the same category.. is it possible for me to use his kit? what exactly is different?

Thank in advance!

You might want to mention which blower you're talking about - that would make it much easier to answer your questions.

its a comptech SC kit for 04 - 05

im pretty sure the pulley is diff ... his is a 4.2'' where the 00-03 is a 4.4'' so id just be making like an extra psi with the smaller pulley?

your fine!!! that supercharger will fit on your car just perfectly. i think everything should fit without any extra hardware. Give Science of speed a call...or ComptechUSA a call or any shop that sells the Comptech S/C still and ask them for details on the matter. but i think your all good to go

ok i was just confused on why they sell different kits for different models.. i guess it was just the diameter of the pulley that changed.. Can anyone else confirm this? thanks

Yes, it was just the pulley diameter. You'll have more psi than an AP2 with the same kit.

heres Comptechs answer

Hello,

The main difference is that they have different engines. A 00-03 has a 2.0Liter engine, and the 04-05 has a 2.2Liter engine. The later model cars have a little more torque and a lower rev limiter. This requires a different fuel pressure regulator when installing the kit, and the blower will have a different pulley, but the crank pulley is the same. Thanks for considering CTE.
