Default SC Owners Chime In

I found a older thread but didn't have much feedback on the topic and left many questions unanswered for me. I just really would like to know the selling point that made owners go the supercharged route over a turbo setup? I am looking for opinions from street cars really because that's what my intentions are for the car. I know the rotrex/SOS superchargers have their stamp in road racing, but I need some daily driver opinions.

I have priced out a setup and the Rotrex is going to run me about the same as a turbo setup. I'm no noob when it comes to turbo setups had various B series setups in the past so I know the sensation of a 400+hp boosted car and it's def fun but other than highway pulls left much to be wanted otherwise in terms of driving twisties/backroads etc.

Keeping the stock 6spd trans and I want it to live so kind of swaying towards the rotrex for the sheer fact that turbo setups tend to be more violent and produce way more torque destroying DIFFS. I know a turbo setup stomps a supercharger for power under the curve, I guess I'm just not wanting to waste a crap load of money on the supercharger and be disappointed if my car feels like a all motor car until 6,000+rpms lol. Car is a stock block ap1.

Intentions: Major street usage, drives to work etc, trying to get more into HPDE but not super serious about it, may attend 5 track days a entire year.

Guidance, opinions, help, videos anything?....

Pretty much would like some supercharger owners to chime in and tell me if they regretted their decision.
Thanks. Sorry I know this topic has been whored out.

I've been supercharged off and on with both of my S2000 since March of 2001 with no regrets.

If you're looking for that low end torque, easy going daily driving feeling that a small turbo gives you, then a supercharger will disappoint you.

A lot of us go SC because we like the way the stock powerband feels like, but just want more of it. When I accelerate away from a light, shifting at 4-5k rpms, I'm still in vacuum the whole time, so it is effectively like an NA car. The only difference is the throttle input vs load response is much better, so your load values will be increased, closer to boost, with less throttle input vs an NA car, and it feels faster in that regard.

I dont regret it and havent considered going turbo since I installed it. It's plenty fast, and I love how it just keeps pulling endlessly to redline

Sounds like the powerband I need. I know turbos have the "RAW" power feel once they kick in, but I heard most people just say a supercharged car pulls like a NA car on steroids. Wish it was someone local to me to take me for a ride. I'm pretty set on the SOS or Kraftwerks kit, just like to hear owners experience and feedback vs everyone say go turbo, superchargers have no torque blah blah blah. I like cars more for the driving experience more so than a power hungry machine.

Where is "local".

My current setup is SOS Stage 2 on an MY04 with a 3" pulley. VTEC engagement is at 4K. Due to OEM exhaust and 8,500 rpm fuel cut off that I imposed the WHP is only 405.
