I've said it a ton, I dont know how some people maintain traction with bigger power levels. I blow the tires off of 1-4th if the road quality isn't the best. 400-450whp is plenty and perfect for this car frankly. And after owning an NA S2k for 7 years, I can't imagine it not being some lunatic that pulls and pulls all the way to the stratosphere, so the centrifugal SC route was the best option for what I wanted.

I have had my s2k for over 12 years now . It was n/a for about the first year while i paid it off . I put a Vortech kit in it and drove it like that for 5 more years at the 7-8 psi level . I then upped the boost to 12 psi along with an aem and injectors/map sensor . I love the car like this . It is extremely reliable and very quick . I also have a very nasty 740whp Turbo Integra . I know what fast feels like . People who say Supercharged s2k's are slow must either have a bad setup or are completely out of touch with reality .

So, everything you read above is pretty accurate. I've had the original KW kit with a Rotrex C30-94 at 10psi (382whp Dynojet SAE) now I have a TTS kit with a larger C38-92 Rotrex at about 16psi (last dyno was 443whp Dynojet SAE). I'm not sure I'd ever go with a turbo on this car. I've driven the SOS TS Max kit and it was nice, but I just couldn't get over the little bit of lag...it wasn't horrible but I just didn't warm up to it...again, a nice kit.

To be clear, the supercharged S2000 doesn't "come on" like when VTEC engages, it is more power EVERYWHERE in the powerband. No...not like a turbo where it comes on somewhere from 3500ish to 5000 or so on up. It is pretty linear. It just starts to really pull like a mother above 6-7K on up. It is very much street friendly for daily use and if installed and maintained properly it is very reliable. ...and your quote of driving twisties and backroads is all I use mine for! For almost any enthusiast, I'm certain you'll want more power eventually, so I'd recommend going for the top right away! (Provided you're used to driving something with this much power) Good luck with your decision!

Look at the dyno below...specifically look at my almost stock N/A dyno vs the TTS dyno. This shows that there is more power everywhere under the curve with a supercharger. TTS, SOS, KW and N/A other than the SOS car, all are the same car on the same dyno just at different times with different kits.

I've been SOS S/C'd for 9 years. Currently making 507/313ish dynojet. My car is primary used for various types of twisties. I can drive 100miles straight seeing only a handful of cars. Personally, 450whp/~16psi would be perfect for the car. Having more power than that is only good for long straights. Just learn how to shift in the optimal rpm range and be happy. I would just go SOS or TTS.

Exactly the person I needed to chime in! I had a 450whp rod/piston combo integra a few years back and that was the fastest car I've owned to date, so I know a 450hp teg is def no slouch on the street and yours is making 740hp and you say a supercharged setup isn't slow, that speaks volumes to me, thanks for chiming in sir!

thank you for the graph, yeah I plan on going with the C38-81 for now, but if money permits I may jump for the C38-91 or 92. If I ever get serious with the car it will turn into a time attack competition car!

a supercharged ap2 motor with 16 psi @8500 rpm is no slouch. I named my car sloth2k because everyone thinks sc cars are slow but this one has surprised a few
