SC questions
what type of gains does a SC give a stock AP2 with conservative boost? how many whp and at what rpms?
is 7 psi considered conservative or average?
if an s2k is supercharged (again, conservatively), what OEM parts will definitely need to be upgraded? i understand upgrading some components will optimize the benefits of the SC, but i'm asking more about safety/reliability/driveability issues.

A stock Vortec or Comptec kit is 7lb. it gets you about 300rwhp. and its simply bolt on, so theres no parts NEED to be upgraded.
I see you have a 2006. I think there still working on SC for the 2006MY.
Also, the search option in your best bet. You'll learn alot.

The new SC for the '06 is more expensive, but you will probably get more than the rest of us who stayed basically stock. I believe the new set up also gets an ECU reflash to gain even more HP. As stated above, there is no need to change anything else. The system is designed to work with all the parts that are on the car now. If anything else needs to be changed (FPR, fuel pump, etc.) it comes with the kit.

I sold my 06 for an 05 so I could SC it with out paying
The stock clutch wasn't designed for the increased torque or power. You should probably invest in a clutch with a higher clamp load rating. If you don't, you may get some slipping at high RPM.
I'm still using my original clutch that came with the car and it still isn't slipping. Just trying to get as much use out of it before I NEED to replace it. When I do I will be upgrading.

I had to change out my clutch after about 6 months of having my Vortech installed. It started slippin' like a MOtherF.I wasn't driving like a fool but my guess is the CDV had something to do with it.
