Default SC sound and pulleys

Currently I have a stock comptech SC on my s2k and was just wondering if the whine / sound of the SC will get any louder when I install a smaller pulley, or is it nearly 100% dependant on the design / gear cut?

It would definitely be a lot cooler if people would notice it more with the smaller pulley.

You'll be spinning the SC faster at idle, so it will be making more noise.

Most people get a smaller pulley to get more power. You want to make more noise so people will notice? Save a bunch of money and get a CD recording of your supercharger and crank up the volume on the stereo when you want to have people notice you.

Or buy a "whoopie whistle":

Haha, no I wouldn't do it for the sound only

Of course I'd do it for the power. But we all have to agree that the sound makes it all the more better, unless you don't like hearing it. and it's always nice to have more looks eh?

Currently I have to cruise at 3k'ish rpm to hear it decently IIRC

Same thing Xviper talked about in another thread. Seemed proud of it too.

Ha! That's funny.

I must be weird.....When I first started my car up after the s/c install, I was a little taken back by the noise. I am happy to say that after a few hundred miles the "clatter" has quieted down significantly.

I don't even like the attention that the a/f gauge brings and I did my best to hide it low behind the pillar.
