Science of Speed upgrade kit for CTSC
My Turbo Is better than your SC because of..this, because of that ,my tourqe is this at this Rpm and i Get this Boost at this Rpm and you dont ,and when you are at this Rpm you are % boost and i am at 100000% boost and bla-bla-bla-bla ...
Now SC < Turbo and it will be SC = Turbo and than we wont have anything to talk About....

I understand what you are saying though. Less torque for YOU is better because you can control it easier. That doesn't go for 99% of the population though but more power to you.

I am The Abdul and I understand what you are saying though. Less torque for YOU is better because you can control it easier. That doesn't go for 99% of the population though

I'm guessing those people who are interested in this would be owners of a standard comptech S/C kit. Now they would have two choices if they wanted more power from their FI steup:
1. Upgrade pulley etc as SOS setup previously mentioned.
2. Sell comptech kit, buy turbo kit.
It appears that these are also the steps some other S2000 owners have taken. Whilst some may argue for spending lots of money now on a well sorted high HP turbo, others prefer a cheaper entry level cheaper S/C. Afterwards it seems everybody gets addicted to the boost .

the reason i went CTSC was cause my S is a daily driver..and it passes smog
...i wouldnt mind going turbo but wouldnt want to deal with the smog hassle... correct me if im wrong, but there arent any turbo set ups that pass smog, right? ..and will i pass smog with the SoS upgrade?

You would have to reverse the modification.
stena you must smoke some good....I am on this forum for some time, but coming from a SC upgrade to purity of diesel is just crazy :-)
If you think that a S300whp C is faster of the line that a 300whp turbo, than I have to come over and smoke some with you.
When I take of at 5000rpm, my boost is @8psi in a nanosecond. With some good rubber you just fly of the line and the SC stays way behind.
Anyway, I have to say that in a ghey race from the roll, the higher the speeds, the smaller the difference between turbo and SC.
After driving both (Vortech and My LoveFab) I would not even think of the SC. This has been talked to death. But try to have a look at the size of the blower in a Vortech/Conptech...give me that big of a turbo and I fly you to the moon and back :-)

^EDIT: Good rubber=at least 255 in the rear and at least Michelin PS2, Advan or something in that level.
You hear this spinning stories from guys still running 225 stock tires or people that "upgrade" to Kumhos and put tire polish at the tread :-)

And Yes Torque is Better and i Dont think Less torque is Better than more.Only when you Run Stock rims with some Good Rubber like Pzero Nero or some kind of stock-ish tire the less wheel spin the SC makes is better to start off the line...And if you put Toyo 888 or Advan or Pzero Corsa.And Let it be fatter and bigger ones than no point to Prove there.
