Will be following this thread, hope to see you break 400whp as I plan on doing the same once I buy the SOS stage 2 system. Not to thread jack but how small of a pulley can you get on the Novi 1200 before it becomes unsafe or start overspinning the blower? All on 93 octane. Smallest ive seen people with stock engines on pump gas is 3.2.

There's a thread in FI about how fast you can spin the NOVI 1200. You can also check out the SoS website. **If you're feeling ballsy** I think the blower is the limiting factor, not the block or pump gas. In the thread in the FI section it lists kits you can get that will actually up the max impellar speed before it becomes unsafe for the supercharger.

I wouldn't personally feel safe running too much over 400whp on pump gas cause I'm a wuss and would rather spend money on things other than fixing my block.

can i ask what dyno your numbers came from?

i have the same set up minus the heat exchanger and sos clutch but i have a 63mm berk hfc and i made 360wph and 220 torque dyno dynaimics dynameter on 91 octane.
Those are some really good numbers.

PTuning has a DynoDynamics dyno I think; the tuner there told me it is one of the lowest reading dynos in the area - lower than dynojet for sure. Also, when the car was tuned it didn't have the upgraded heat exchanger yet, although I don't think that makes a huge performance improvement; more like making the power more consistently and reliably. Unfortunately I won't be able to see the improvement with just the HFC, since I'm upping the boost at the same time.

Did you adjust the redline any to increase the boost a bit?

My red line is a bit over 8300. Probably 8500. I can't remember what stock ap2 red line was 8000? I'm also on flash pro as well

I really wish we had higher octane here more widely spread.

Since you guys are saying a new bov would warrant a retune, would changing from recirculating diverted valve to vent to atmosphere require a retune? (Same size valve)

I ordered the injectors and map sensor today and am going to order the cat tomorrow. I don't think I'll go for the 3.4" pulley for now, since I don't want to run out of fuel pressure on the dyno. At some point I'll get the Inline Pro or SoS return fuel kit and get a smaller pulley.

It makes sense, since I figure a year is about what it takes me to get tired of the power I have and get more

A tial bov will do the same thing, but it will act differently than a small 1 in sized bov/diverter. Same goes for any larger diameter blow of valve compared to a stock 1in valve
So unless I cut & weld a new port and flange on my aftercooler, the Bosch unit will be sufficient for my boost levels? Is there any compelling reason or significant performance gain to be had from upgrading with the same 1" port?
