Why not? PM Chris or call SOS.

Maybe a little Silicon spray will help.

the only problem I have with mine is it sticks a little after idle. It's very slight but noticable. The voltage on my TPS is at .280 and if I was to use the adjustment screw to open it up a little before it would stick it raises the idle too much. Too much so to where I get a check engine light for too high of an idle. P0507 I think. The idle sits at 800 rpms dead on right now, it doesn't fluctuate at all.

Right now though, I can live with the sticky throttle. It just sucks backing up in my driveway.

I think the reason why it sticks is because the plate is not beveled like the stock plate is so when it's closed it gets stuck a little.

The throttles should not stick (this is the first time I've ever heard of one having a problem. The throttle blade is taper cut just like the OEM one as the throttle blade sits at a few degrees off perpendicular when closed.

take care,

Take a screw driver and test how secure they are, I would bet they locktite them bad boys in. I've never heard of this type of failure happening on other throttle bodies so you should be safe. And if it was the other way around it could still go down the intake, just would happen next time you opened the throttle.
The screws are set in place with permanent thread locker, they will not come out unless you remove them with a screw driver. If you remove them, you must clean, and reapply permanent thread locker. Not something that I suggest or recommend, however, if you're still concerned, you can stake the ends of the screw to swedge the threads.

Yes, it is a SOS throttle body. Here's the thing though, I didn't buy it direct from you guys. I bought it from a member on here who said it had maybe 4000 miles on it. When I was looking at it, and making sure it was clean I could have sworn it did not have a tapered cut. I will take off my intake tomorrow and post pics of it to be sure.

Ok guys so I got tuned today at Autowave with the SOS TB and Plasma coils so I can't give ALL the credit to the TB but I think it might be the higher of the two for HP gains. The last time I was on a Dynamics Dyno I pulled 406 and without ANY tune it got 418. After tuning I was at 428 so take what you will from this but I'm pretty sure the TB had a little to do with it.

Mike gets the credit for the tune of course but I did get a 12hp gain without any tune at all.

Does anyone have a datalog of MAP across the RPM range with this TB on a NA S2000?

My datalogs with a stock TB show that my MAP drops about 30 mBar as RPMs climb from 2K to 8.5K RPMs at WOT. Using SAE equations, it looks like that 30 mBar drop costs about 8 HP at redline. Since there is no TB that would totally eliminate that 30 mBar drop, I'm curious how much the SOS TB would eliminate.
