Have to agree also. Your turbo is going to be useless and just create way to much lag. Get one of the smaller 64mm precisions or a sx300 borg and cut an easy 1000 rpm off your spool up time. If you stick with the big of a turbo you may want to go to dual 44 gates over the 38`s also.
So before I make a build thread I'd really like to get some questions out of the was first.
Im coming from a 500+ whp civic to a Built Turbo S.
My car has 137k on her. BB Ap1
Setup:
Engine is 10:5:1 "allen built" Sleeved ect...
Head has springs/retainers/valves
Precision 67/68 BB
Id 1000's need to change to 2k's if I go E85
Hondata
Dual Bosch 044's with hanger( in tank)
-8 feed and -6 return for fuel
Weldon FPR
Aeromotive Fuel filter
Full race twinscroll kit
Duel Tial 38mm wastegates
50mm BOV
E85:
Does the tune have to be changed at all between fill up's?( just worried about consistency)
I was looking into the Zeitronix Ethanol Content Analyzer for data on consitency
I live in Florida so temperature isnt a HUGE issue
Not a DD so MPG isnt a big factor either
How much does it have to be driven since E85 can't sit for a length of time?
Im still reading more and more to further educate myself on e85...
Fuel lines:
What brand lines do you guys recommend to use?
The old ones started to "bubble" from Q16
Clutch:
Obviously a twin disc to handle the power and help the stock trans as much as possible
( I'll be upgrading the rear end before I do trans. 8.8 most likely)
Trans:
Still up in the air, everything is expensive as shit!
Catch can is still up in the air as well.
Hondata or AEM v2?
The setup came with Hondata and supporting sensors so If I go AEM Id have to sell all of this and go that route.
Goals:
Previous owner made 743 spinning on the dyno....
My goals will be around 650-700ish

ANY advice on what to change/leave ect is appreciated.

Im making 818 on a single 44 gate so i think your twin 38s are fine. however, it seems you have a very nice setup getting started. why even risk a bad batch od e85 when VP makes C85. always retains the same octane. I know its pricey to C85 but you obviously spent a decent penny as we all did. why risk the damage
I agree the turbo is overkill but it came with the setup. One thing I've learned to go bigger than needed on is turbo and fuel setup. Leaves room for more in the future if needed. How much is the c85?

VP C85 is 45-55 dollars for a 5 gallon drum. This is all I run and have never paid more than that for it. so its basically double e85 but piece of mind
I think the 67mm is fine. If he's starting at 700whp, what makes you think he's going to stop there?
If money weren't any object, I'd run a G-force tranny. Else, buy a couple of spare OEM's and get comfortable with the downtime.

Gas in Jacksonville is Limited. There is only 1 person who can get Q16, wells only sales Sunoco, and the only place who sales E85 is 45min away 1 way. However, Stage 6 sales C85, and they use that in there jeeps. I was just told by buddy that we will be getting more E85 staitions here next year tho.
