Default She's Alive!

Rearend stuff is complete. Still need to mount the shocks, and order my axles and brakes, but she's finally on the ground rolling around again. Obviously the car is still under construction, but I was so excited I had to snap a few shots.....haha

Now just waiting on the motor from Inline Pro. Ya called and said I should have it next week. Then hopefully we will be beating the crap of the car within the next month or so!!!

WOOHOO!!!

A couple of spy shots....haha

car is looking sick carey! You have the trans all sorted out and good to go? What turbo is that? and are you going to leave the cross brace out or weld in something smaller when its all together?

Thanks man.

I've gone back and forth on the trans so many times. We have the motor on a plate that converts to a GM bolt pattern, so my options are limitless really. But I'm pretty sure it's getting a manual of some sort, just don't want to say yet...haha

The turbo is a S372 w/ race cover

We've gone back and forth on the brace. I think we are just going to leave it out. If we decide to do anything, we'll just put a 1-5/8 piece of chromoly in there. Honestly, with the crossmember bolted to the frame rails below they can't go anywhere, we think it's overkill anyways. And not like this car is going to see many twisty roads...

Very cool man! Talk about some major overhauling going on right there. LOL

What engine is in it now in the pics? What are you having IP do to the engine? Just freshen it up or a major overhaul with new stronger parts? Can you give us a list of what they are doing? I'd like to know because when I build my engine this winter, I want to know what parts you're going with so I know what to throw in mine to handle at least 1000 whp safely.

That's a spare/mock up engine.

IP is just freshening up my old motor.

^^Ok, so same rods, pistons, etc? CP 9.5:1, Crower rods, etc? Good to know. I think that engine that Steve had built is able to handle 1000 whp isnt it? Thats the same build I'd like to have.

Im glad you are going to keep it manual. Auto is cool to go fast with but manual is so much more fun.

You are going to continue to drive it on the street or just make it track only?

The block was/is as strong as an anvil. The only thing we did there was new bearings, rod bolts, and pistons. Yes, Crower, CP's, etc.

I've been through 2 heads on the car. We are trying some different things there this time around.
