Default short block price?

I blew my ap2 motor due to losing all the oil out of one of my oil filter relocation hoses with my full race setup. I would like to find a used short block (no head) in good running order. does anyone know about what they should be going for? I don't care if its ap1 or ap2, as I am just going to use it until i can afford to build my ap2 block...

i would think a few hundred dollars.. 5-6? not quite sure.. it depends on the miles, previously turboed or supercharged, etc.

risky though. for all you know the motor has 100k and the seller says it has 30!

it is risky, but i have an ap2 block that i'm going to build. i just need something in the meantime.

so $1000 shipped for an ap1 short block with ~70k is too much?
