If you want to talk to them, call them. They answer the phone and are very knowledgeable.

DON'T DO IT I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY CTSC AND IT FAILED ON ME... stick to the one provided by the manufacturer. Piece of crap didn't vent like utbwas suppose to and probably did something to the turbine. SC being belt Sri en will cause more dmg since the air won't have anywhere to go not like a turbo it will just reverse the turbine. Waste of money dor very little noise. What they don't tell u thAt the car inthe vid is boosting really high boost and on top of that the hood was open and mic right by it. Guess what if ur running stock psi you'll hear barely anything that's untill it fails on u.

First of all there's no turbine on a supercharger, you're referring to the compressor wheel. Secondly, you're not going to reverse the compressor on a supercharger and not on a turbo either. Lastly, no damage is going to be done to the SC without a BOV.

you had to have had it installed wrong.

back in the day (3+ years ago) i used to go to another install shop and they couldn't figure out how to install it in... so it didn't work. then had it installed RIGHT when i went to autowave and had it tuned with 11lbs and it sounded Sick!!!! ran great too.

BOV's are more a longevity thing than a power thing. They are there to prevent cavitation that could damage the compressor blades.

I can't speak to their usefulness on a supercharger as I am not supercharged.
Not exactly cavitation but yes it is to prevent unnecessary wear to the compressor blades due to back flow when closing the throttle (aka compressor surge). In very extreme cases this could even cause the engine to stall but that's with a turbo and not a SC.

^ Compressor surge! That's the phrase I was looking for! When I posted that I had one of those moments where all I could pull into focus was the image of a monkey banging together a pair of cymbals

I have one on my KW high boost SC and enjoy it. The kit came with a diaphragm BOV and the piston one sounds a lot cleaner. I thought I noticed a little throttle response improvement, but then realized it was all psychological. Kinda like the guys that swap exhaust and talk about all the power they gained. Most of them haven't even dyno the car and couldn't really tell you if it added power or not. Sounds are deceiving...

With that said, if you have the money, go for it. If not spend your dollars on something that would improve performance. I like mine (but had to get a BMW adapter to make it fit on the KW), and if I were buying one because I needed a BOV, I would buy his one again.
