Default Silicone intake heat exchanger type 101 install

So guys I bought a type 101 heat exchanger over a year and half ago and never got around to installing it. Well with my new job giving me days off now I finally did.

Here is the link to the heat exchanger I bought.

And the pictures of the brackets I made.

And how it sits with the bumper put on.

I had the top and bottom mounts rewelded to the sides of the hx and self tape screwed to the car front support. I didn't get it from them but it looks like the exact some HX.

Mines not dead straight due to using straight connectors but it's close enough not to bug me

I rather not use self tappers. I made the brackets to fit in the same spot as SOS uses and wanted to be able to just in case I needed to go back to SOS's heat exchanger. I still need to clean up a few of the brackets, round the edges, and paint the whole unit black.

Looks great, I agree it's a much better setup then mine. Due to the width it's able to be tapped into the supports, just making that info known.

Ah nice, you bought the big-boy one! Hahah. Good to see someone mounting that giant thing in there; I think one other person on here had used the thicker one in the past.

I'm not sure taking it slow and changing a few little things.
Maybe a ZDX 80mm throttle body and I'm going to send it and the intake manifold to max bore. Other then that SOS fuel pump rewire kit. Not sure after that maybe change the pulley sizes both crank and blower for better anti slip.
