Default Simulated Narrowband O2 Output

Hi All

I have purchased a Zeitronix data logger mainy for A/F logging, the primary O2 needs to be replaced with a wideband, the device has a 02 output to feed the ECU from connector C16.
After some research, i found out that a resistor is needed on other similar devices.

If I need such resistor, which connector/s should i connect it to ?

Thanks

Hi Trip, im pretty sure you will because you are unplugging your old sensor completely and the ECU will expect to see a circuit from the Heater + and - wires. When you disconnect the plug you will get a CEL.

I am doing mine tomorrow (PLX) and am going to connect the resistor onto the open ended plug. Its the 2 white wires you want. Not sure how I will secure it in place yet.

You can also do it at the ECU and one of the other connector plugs. I didnt want to do it there as the resistor gets hot.

Theres another thread on this recently in this forum, will try find it.

My ideal would be on the ECU side as i will have an extention harness just for slicing. i will fit the resistor somewhere away from danger

Have a look through my posts and you will find one about Widebands in FI. There's a diagram in one of them that will help!

Its not on the ECU harness, its on a connector plug that sits next to the ECU. You can see a picture of it in the link below.
