Default Single Bosch 044 Capabilities?

Hi all

I have become a bit bored of my existing tune and also feel that I'm not doing the fully built motor (lowered comp) and GTX3576R justice sitting @ 17psi.

However my ID 1000's are already at 70% DC so I therefore plan to upgrade my fuel system in readiness for some more boost.

I currently have a in tank Areomotive 340. My thoughts are to leave that were it is to serve as a "pick up pump" and install a single in-line Bosch 044 pump with a swirl pot (will be tracking car soon).

Does anyone have any estimates of what sort of power this set up will be good for paired with my existing ID1000's and stock fuel rail / FPR.?

I'd like to get close to a couple of bar of boost (28 psi).

Cheers
Frankie

Just a thought - you could knock out both objectives (increased fuel flow and swirl / surge protection) by adding this:

You could easily retain your existing in-tank pump.

Just use the appropriate barb fittings on the bosch 044 and position it inline at the stock feed line. Then turn up the fuel pressure.

Cheap, easy, and it works.

Easy. Add a 044 inline. -8 feed. -6 return. AEM rail and regulator. Crank that bitch to 100psi fuel pressure on the Id1000... And make 650-700

Problem with high fuel pressure is you'll boil the fuel unless you run a fuel cooler. I have boiled the fuel in the rail a couple of times so it locks up at normal fuel pressure so now run a fuel cooler. Makes huge differences in temps. Cold fuel=more power!
