sleeved block
Ok, i have been searching but cant find the answer i am looking for. This block is for sale and i am about to buy it as soon as i know something.
It is a Darton sleeved block with 89mm bore. Is there a disadvantage to having a 89mm bore vs the stock 87mm??? I am buying the block for now and will get it built later when i start on my high hp project s2000. Does anyone have any experience with Darton sleeves. The post i read using the search function were talking about how darton just started making sleeves for the f20c or something like that. I thought they had been making sleeves for the f20c for a few years now. Anyone have experience with Darton sleeves in a f20c? What kind of boost levels can they hold. Any help and info is appreciated bc i dont want to spend that much money on something i cant use for what i want.
Thanks for all the help in advance guys!

Darton sleeves are top notch. It is typically the installation process that kills a sleeved block. Darton sleeved blocks will easily hold 40+psi when done properly. But if the sleeving process is not done properly, they will leak and major issues can surface with the trueness of the block deck and mains.
wow that looks like a block a guy i know had - his name is Rick?
i would be a little cautious of a 89mm block - the space between cylinders little thin (heat), and a a thin head gasket there also,

89mm is going to be fine. I ran a 89mm bore in my NA application. I currently now am @ 89.25mm and I am FI. Combustion chambers have to be worked for clearance as well. I run the ERL Superdeck system.
