I hit a 1.57 60ft on my drag radials, I had a hell of a time with slicks and radials in the front lol.

Okay so I am about to order these M/T ET street radials in 255/50-16. Is this adequate for my HP? I want to take the car to the track in a couple weeks and see if I can net myself low 11's high 10's with these tires. I'll be running my daily radials in the front and only switching out the rear tires once I arrive at the track

Real street, thanks for the explanation on bias vs radial. That was helpful to learn that.

I have a question, I want to run high grip tires on the rear with AP1 wheels as well, but I'm in a supercharged application with around 425 whp (have not been dyno'ed yet) What size tire should I buy? Ill be running radial tires on front. But would a 26 in tall tire be to big? How do I know how wide I should get?

after doing much research with my ap1 rears around numerous sfl shops, i went down the same boat-
Mickey Thompson 255/50/16 tires on ap1s- for the same reason. If fernando is running 9's on street
radials for gods sake, i dont see how you'll have a problem with your setup in the 600's o'malley.
I think you made a good choice with those- especially if you're running with 18's on front due to the
very close comparisons in wheel diameter. I havent went to the track yet to test mine out, so i
would sure love to see your experiences with them on film! good luck!

I talked to my tuner today, he suggested I put 15s on, along with MH racemaster 24.5x8x15s on my S2000

Thats what Honda guys run for fwd, I think the 16" tire is a better choice for these cars, especially if you want to get some more mph out of the factory gearset.

That tire is shorter than the factory wheel, definitely not a good recommendation. Stick with the 255/50/16's which are 26 inches tall.

I dont think 26s are a good choice. Keep in mind im not turbo and only have 425ish whp. Height on 255 40 17 is just junder 24 in
