Default Slight audible grind from blower

I had my oil & tranny fluid changed today- my tech said he noticed a very slight grinding noise from the blower that is inconsistent with every other time Ive had the car serviced- He reccomended I call comptech and ask them if they are aware of any issues with the bearing in the snail or have had any reported instances of bearing failure in the earlier kits. The car only has 20k miles on it- about 15 with the kit- stock boost and pulley. I just got off the phone with Nick at Comptech- hes not aware of any issues with bearing failure in the snail- Just wanted to see if it was something you guys have had any experiences with- or have heard instances of.

It may be nothing- just something I was made aware of today and wanted to get some feedback on.

Can you tell a difference in sound? When you rev the motor does the bearing output shaft/pulley wobble in and out?

Comptech blowers normally sound like a bunch of rocks rolling around inside a tin can anyway. How would anyone tell if a different "slight grinding noise"?

"slight grinding" at idle is very normal. Be worried if the pulley is moving in and out of the housing and the noise gets louder than a slight grinding.

Hey Deez, from the description it sounds pretty normal for a CT. Let me know if you want to meet up and have me take a listen.

nice - thanks mike. I think i have pretty much ruled out any problems with the blower- just a confused-concerned mechanic. I want to get out to the track with you sometime, do you have any events left this season? shoot me a pm-
