I gave my car to a friend today to see how it looks from the outside. I realized that there is smoke coming out of the exhaust a lot. As soon as you hit the gas, the smoke starts coming out. I also get backfires when the gas is released. Is it possible that the car is running rich?

 

It may be that you have a test pipe.

 

White smoke or bluish smoke? Is your car consuming more oil than usual? Could be a rich tune or bad rings.

 

where they tuned it, they left the car a little rich. I'll take it to retuning and see what happens.
