Default Smoke from hood!

Ok so i made a dumb move on my part today...

I was comming back from starbucks holding coffee in one hand while going over a speedbump in second gear and going over very slowly i might add to prevent scrapage on my 3in exhaust... Well i guess i was going to slow and car stalled out and all of a sudden hear something go errr....... like a loud screeching noise... and i see smoke come out of my vented hood! I'm thinking it was the alternator smoking up b/c the aem ems was trying to restart the car or the belt smoking...

Well i tried to start the car immediately with no success it just crank and crank
I relaxed for a minute took the key out and let the fuel pump prime and it started right away! whew!!!

I stopped a couple of minutes later to see if anything was broken under the hood but everything seemed fine, i can't tell exactly where the smoke came from either... no oil leaks or coolant...

Car starts fine now, fires up right away even when hot

Do any of you guys know what might have smoked from under the hood while the car tried to crank itself?

Good thing i'm getting my car tuned next week!!! can't wait!!! at lease i hope it turns out well... Man turbo is giving me a heart attack!!!

i would limit your driving until you get it tuned... as far as the smoke goes, did you make sure you don't have any leaks.

Just an FYI. Since I have gone turbo I always have a little fire extinguisher riding shotgun with me. Its the only other thing in the cabin.

yea i checked the oil lines on the oil filter relocation kit, oil feed, coolant return and feed and also coolant level and everything seems to check out fine.

I started to see smoke when i heard something screeching while i was inside the car, kind of like the aem ems trying to start the alternator to prevent the car from dying during the stallout.

Any possible way the alternator could be smoking? or the belt smoking b/c of the alternator trying to restart the car?

Or worse it might be the turbo smoking... but i drove around and started it on and off and everything seems to check out, no smoke or any abnormal signs immediately after it restarted.

how could an alternator start a car? I would consider some residual water or oil that had pooled somewhere, and when the motor stalled, it shook the motor in a way it hadn't before, pouring that oil or water onto the hot manifold, producing the smoke you spoke about.
