Just it looks like preignition around the insulator, which would be a hot spot if they're stock plugs.

It can look like black specs on the white insulated portion of your plug or portions of the electrode missing.

Not sure what heat range.. Can someone tell me the best plugs for the job so it doesn't happen again?

Also would I be wise putting in je forged pistons an brian crower rods while I have the engine stripped? I see realstreetperformance do a deal on rods an pistons for 900 dollars,, They are rated for 600 bhp. So I could put the other pulley back on an up the power to over 400 bhp

They also sell dry stronger liners for 300 dollars

Thanks Tony

It may have been just the plug temperatures that were your issue then if you were using standard plugs, hence asking, I'd go at least to the 8's suggested above and possibly a little colder if you can find one, given it's a race/rally engine.

When you are saying what plugs should I get so this will not happen again...

Are you saying that the plug caused you to bend two valves??? I am sure that was not the case. That nasty plug could have happened after the bent valve. Just to be clear a dirty plug does not bend valves, you did something else to do that.

I didnt even know there was different temperaures of plugs..

Would you have any links so I could see the exact plug that I should be buying? I don't think im going to go down the forged route now so I will be retaining the 363 bhp..

Thanks for all your help
