how are you guys venting the non dry cell batteries? I guess if you open the trunk once in a while you should be fine right?

I'll agree the fuse box is now in a PITA location. even if you can slide it ou of the bracket, you still have to pull the wheel and inner fender liner.

The Basch SC for the NSX puts a SC on top of the fuse box, which is another PITA location. The fuse box really needs to be easy to access.

A vent tube needs to be added for a lead/acid battery, to allow the hydrogen outgassing someplace to go.

In all honesty i've never blown a fuse in any of my cars, knock on wood, so to have to take the 5 to 10 minutes to get to it is worth the clean look and no heat problems. I'm going to finish things up today. I'll snap some more pics while i'm at it.

I've had mine installed in the trunk for quite a while now. I went with a battery like yours at first but later switched to one size larger. I hope you put a fuse on the positive line by the battery. If not you are looking for trouble. Here's a picture of my install:

In all honesty, with my simple - 10 minutes to make - heat shield, I can touch the battery and it is perfectly cool. However I think that's more because of my hood and how I routed the heat shield to be right at the 3rd vent.
pics please.

I'm using a 150 amp fuse. Without a fuse, if the positive wire chafes and shorts to the chassis, plan on burning a hole through the body at best. At worst, your car going up in flames.

You did a hella of a job!! If anyone was scared enough of their car catching fire they would do this and I will be one of them. I have a couple questions though about the wiring over the plastic wheel well. I have to roll my fenders and the plastic wheel wells will be coming out. How are those wires sitting there? Are they secured by a tab or just sitting on the wheel well? And for your battery re-location did you use new positive cables from where they came off all the way to the new batt or just butt connected both wires to one and then ran them back. It looks like you but connected them. It would be better to run new positive cable to and from the battery.
