In regards to the fuse box location I have had no problems in 6-7000 miles.
But if it makes you feel better about the location you could always put it in the cabin under the dash.
Also I can not remember the size of the wire I used but I had to go to several hardware stores to fined it.

Here you go - 4 Hours of work so far

But, I also pulled the a/c lines.

Now just need to do something with the ABS line and the heater hoses up top!
Fill the holes, sand it smooth and paint it!

Bumpin' an old thread here. Just wanted to say thanks, this was enough to make me go for it. I wound up only having to extend the wires to the power steering. Lowe's had an extensive selection of wire, so it was no problem.
