Some help diagnosing my dyno woes
Wow, I wish I knew more about tuning! Good on ya guys who know how to tune this stuff well! If things don't start looking up for me and I can't figure this out, I may have to switch to aem! My tuner is certified in that and just can't seem to figure out the emanage ultimate!
Come to think about it, there aren't many people who can tune well on the emu where I'm living, so I may actually give up on this and let someone who knows how to tune this thing properly have a go at it!
Anyone selling an aem ems 1052 and is anyone interested in an EMU and harness? hahahaha

If you are running a log manifold, it could be that vtec is set too low for it. Try raising vtec to 7000 rpm and see what happens. A friend of mine had the same problem with his inline pro manifold and had to put vtec switch over to 7000 rpm, anything below and it would have a big dip like yours.
Tim
i had the same exact problem with my greddy kit, i did not have the intake manifold you have but around 5850 rpms the power would dip. it happends before vtec even engages. the a/f was right on but it fell flat on its face at 5850. after all said and done it came down to proper ignition timing. the emanage is not the most accurate device i think thats why no one likes to tune on it. it uses an adjsutment of factory timing on the map so you never really know what the timing is at. i got a map from a tuner here on s2ki and adjusted it from there since then i been good. good luck!
Yeah, I still haven't figured it out but either way, it's a HUGE flat spot that just won't go away! haha, Would the log manny really cause it to flat line for 2000 rpm?
In any case, I just purchased an AEM so hopefully tuning will be a bit easier; however, my main concern is will I still have this flat spot because of the manifold? Will I have to raise the VTEC engagement point regardless of the engine management ?

Yes, its not the EMS, it's we want you to raise your vtec point up. You could have done this with the ult. But it appears the tuner you are using prefers the AEM so hopefully your result will be better.

raise your vtec to around 7k. didnt read anyone elses post just the original but it looks like vtec is set too low and probably have a log manifold. That should def. cure your issue.
May want to invest into AEM as well.

I had the same thing, had to get an adapter that allows the e-manage to move the vtec crossover point. The dip went away and I gained about 20hp up top...but i agree with revenge if your tuner doesn't know this then perhaps your not in the right shop
