S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Somewhat custom build that started with a manifold

Dump that shit to atmosphere
Nothanks, I think its a better solution to put it into the exhaust. Do not want very loud when dumping.

A small update.

Continued with the chargepiping and mounted the blow off valve onto the pipe. I am satisfied with the future placement. Also welded alot of stuff that was only spotwelded earlier.

Started construction of an air intake. Hopefully it will be a good solution. The idea is the get less hot air from the engine area.

This is just the approximate airfilter location.

Everything is taking longer than expected. So not much more to write about at this moment. The intake and heatshield will look nicer when they are done. They are just ugly now during fabrication.

Hi, the past few days I have been starting to build a manifold that hopefully will fit with help of the AC line relocation kit. If I end up in a dead end I will try to either build a sidewinder style mani, or just build of slightly smaller piping, and being able to build narrower. The pipes I use now roughly represent the area of the exhaust valves.

The placement of the turbo is in the same location as the ILP cast manifold, I used that one as measure.
Now to my question. Seeing that I have the 38mm WG that came with the ILP kit, how should I route the WG pipe into the collector? I am thinking angeled so the exhaust gases can easy take the WG path instead of getting forced into the turbo.
As I will use electronic boost control I guess its no harm if its very easy for the flow to find the WG route. Am I right? THe last thing I want is boost creep due to restricted WG.

I will route my WG into the downpipe.
Will also fabricate my own custom 3" to dual 2" or 2,5" exhaust.
With my current build I would say that a sidewinder seems lie the best way to go.

Yes you are probably right that the sidewinder is the closest you get to the "best" manifold. It is also very big, which can be problematic in some cases.

whenever we build manifolds we try and keep the wastegate as close to the collector as possible. in some cases we have even mounted the wastegate on the exhaust housing. i have also seen boost creep do to the dump tube being ran back into the exhaust. basically if you dont want it to creep move the gate closer to the collector and run the dump to atmosphere.

What charge pressures and what size turbo exhaust side are we talking?

a GT35R would deffinately fall into that category.... but mabey youll luck out.... try it out and see what happens, projects are always subject to revision after trial.

Time for another update

Chargepipes are currently being grinded and painted, unfortunately I had only a pic of when they were fabricated and welded.

As I have seen on these forums about the studs that hold the mani, they tend to break. Also seen alot posts about arp studs.
However I found it to be expensive to order those studs from the states so I decided to take 12.9 quality bolts and make my own.
The initial idea was to make some support, but so far I didn't come up with any great ideas so this will do for now.

Extended the threads. And cut the heads off.

New studs ready!

Did some on the fuel side aswell. Took off the rail and stock injectors seen in the pic below.

Stock injector compared to an ID 1000.

Drilled holes in the rail and welded on connections for the returnline. Also fabricated a holder for the FPR and oiltemp gauge but lack a picture of that.
The fuelrail is put back with the ID1000's and the new injector connectors are soldered to the wiring.

Last time I was well annoyed on ILP that they sent me a too big intercooler. (700hp)
When they knew I was building a moderate setup. It caused me alot of headache to get it to fit, so this time i simply cut it and rewelded the sides to fit better in the car.
And as usual, painted black for stealth

The turbomanifold got some attention aswell. Painted with high temp paint. Holds close to 1500F (800C). Will see how that works.

After that it was time to wrap it with heat bandage. I thought it would be an impossible mission to wrap the runners due to the tiny distance between them, but it turned out over my expectations.

Thats all for now, but I want to end with a question.
What is this thing? It is infront of the engine and small vacuum hoses are leading to it from some crappy little device that sat on the stock intake.
I mean the black plastic box thingy that is in the middle of the picture.
