Great numbers... I think it is smart of you to keep things on the conservative side for peace of mind. With 400 whp, there are few things that can keep up with you on the road, so no worries.

Might be somewhat off-topic, but how can the VT kit be about $1700 cheaper compared to the SOS kit. Now by kits I mean the "Tuner" kits that don't come with engine management and injectors.

I just don't get it.

$1700? I get $700 but not 1700. The tuner kit from SOS is roughly $4200 and I have seen the VT tuner for about $3500.

I want to know where you are finding VT tuner kits for $2500? lol I want to go there!

My apologies... I thought the SOS was $5300 but I just checked again to make sure and it is $4400 and you are right, the VT is $3500... so where does the extra $900 come from?

No worries, maybe you looked @ the KW kit, because I think their tuner kit is around 5300 if im not mistaken?

But I would too like to know why the VT is so cheap compared to the other systems out there?

I just want to know how much enthusiasm I have to show to be able to get a SOS kit donated to me?

LOL to the OP Good Numbers!

Alot of it has to do with the fact that there is more than just one kit for the S2000. Different years means different prices, not to mention the options you can get with the SoS kit.

The answer to the price difference is simple guys. VT Engineers and makes their blowers in-house. They are not buying someone else's blower and reselling them. A lot of the components in the VT kit are made in-house. Also look at the parts you're getting. The VT kit comes standard with a big dual pass water cooler, others are charging extra for a "race cooler". The blow off in the VT kit is also better than the rest. The plastic bosch valve only supports 10 PSI. The VT race valve supports 13-14 PSI. This is in the AP1 and AP2 kits.

I'm not bashing the SOS kit. It makes good power at a fair price. Each to their own.

I wish they weren't using a Bosch valve on this kit but I have not noticed mine to leak yet like they do on VAG products.
