Good to know. Then your tune is just really safe. I know SOS bought some 1200 blowers, glad they switched to the 1220.

Yes. I have an AP1 and they are only reving it to 8800. I have a high flow fuel pump but it starts to loose fuel pressure at the top end. It makes more power its just the dyno doenst go all the way to 9k. Some people just dont understand that its not all about the highest number you can get. Its about making it last and be reliable.

Thanks for posting, these are good numbers. I suspect however that the same power level could be made with lower manifold pressure and more aggressive ignition timing.

Cheers,

Hey Chris,

The kit is great by the way. King told me the could throw another 3 degrees or more at it but they thought this would be safer for me. I will get more power if I ad a header and do some head work so I'm not to concerned about it.

They also noticed that my fuel pump was giving up on the top end so they are not revving my car to 9k. Its actually 8700rpm. I have a high flow pump so I'm not sure whats going on there but I will figure it out later.

Thanks again
Joe

Thanks! Your is awesome! Im thinking that my fuel pump is not the greatest since I have the same setup is you. I have a Walbro pump and RC 750 injectors with stock fuel rail and lines.

Per our conversation earlier today, I think you need to:
Get a better pump
upgrade valve springs and retainers
install a high performance exhaust manifold
Run 100+ octane race gas
Get the car retuned by King
post a new thread with the results

You will for sure see numbers reaching the 500 mark However I say hold off til next year.

sick numbers bro! Im in AZ so im DEF gonna be going with SOS when its time. btw, 400+ is more than enough on a safe tune. I had an evo pushing about the same HP with more tq...and that was MORE than enough on the street. Congrats!

My perspective on built motors differs from most; I'd build my motor to be safe/more conservative rather than with the goal of making more.

I would build my motor to hit 400whp with a turbo even though people are pushing more than that on stock motors.
I identify with your philosophy. It is the same as mine in this regard.

Enjoy!
