I was pretty impressed with what Central Florida Turbo was showing off at the Supermeet. Being that you're here in Orlando, I'd hit them up.

I'm not trying to be an asshole here, but I think you're over your head just a little bit. I really think it would behoove you to take some baby steps and build your own personal knowledge base. If you do indeed have $20,000 to spend, why don't you spend $5000-$6000 and make that first baby step first. Just in making that first step you'll gain an incredible amount of knowledge and you'll know better what YOU think would be the best direction to go from there. After you get your feet wet a little bit, you'll be able to discern what is right yourself, and not just regurgitate something you've read somewhere before.

I have to ask you... How much experience do you have in a 400+hp car that weighs around 2800 lbs. I would venture to guess not a whole lot. I think you'd be absolutely blown away by the performance of a car with those statistics. I can also tell you from multiple personal experience that when you build up an ordinary 200-300hp car into a 600+hp monster, the results (while exhilarating on occasion) are miserable to live with more often than not. It's easy to underestimate just how much power 600hp is... trust me here.

TO give the input you're asking for...

Both appear to be incredibly capable kits. I just bought the SoS kit for mine after quite a bit of deliberation between it and the KW kit. The reason was expandability. If my goals were only ~350 hp, it would have been a tough decision. However, even with that goal the SoS kit does win the performance per dollar argument.

but if you have reasons for sticking with S/C... with an built engine to run high psi.... I would go SOS

KW is limited to 10psi... some are trying for 12psi... but thats it...

I dont know the limits of the SOS Novi 1200 blower but vortech sci blower max out at 17 psi
The SOS time attack car is @ 16psi with a built engine. I would think you could get some sick numbers with a 2.5 IP stroker kit

Don't want to sound like a jerk, but it seems your overkilling everything just because you have $20K to spend. I mean your horsepower goals don't even call for it, and you aren't doing it for safe measure (ie. built motor).

I understand you want tons of torque, but what about all the other variables the transmission, differential, and all other tiny things that happen when you want LOTS OF POWAAHHH! I think you would be surprised if you built the motor with InlinePro and then put a InlinePro or Full-Race Turbo Kit and then boost it. You can add a nice intake manifold since you budget it huge. This can easily put you at 400-600WHP and this gives you piece of mind when boosting.

If by chance you blow your built motor since it is a 2.0L or 2.2L you will be able to re-build it again rather than throw it out.
This will give you your power goals minus the insane torque you want and it will help prevent future headaches. Remember just because more money is spent, doesn't make it more bulletproof especially when you do a 2.5L stroker and you want to boost!

-Build the motor InlinePro/Laskey
-Full-Race/InlinePro turbo kit
-Diff and Tranny set-up
-Enjoy the car because there are less variables against you!

no i dont have experience with a 400hp car but i do have experience with a 250cc twin shifter kart which if im not mistaking has higher hp per lb than a 400hp s2k. and a much larger power band than the s as well being a 2 stroke.
so im use to a 65 hp car with a weight of 300lbs going about 175mph at daytona

JDnissanz i do believe the trans will hold about 700whp because fernando from cft has a 700whp s on a stock tranny and stock rear diff. im not looking for anything over 500whp

im not gonna keep any secrets im using a j's front lip, with canards, spoon rear diffuser, SOS side splitters, either j's or spoon coilovers, rpf1 black wheels, flat army green paint with a white star on a j's hood, j's rear wing and debating weather to replace the muffler with the gattlin gun muffler maybe a dual gattlin gun should be pretty sick, a 6pt cage that im going to wrap in black suede and wrap the stock seats in suede as well
