Default SOS Novi 1200 orientation wrong?

Hi,

I'm trying to get things ready for my Novi 1200 upgrade. So I got the CT bracket conversion and a new blower, I've just done the dummy bracket fitting and it looks totally wrong as the outlet is pointing upwards! Am I doing something wrong here?

It looks like they you the wrong volute. You might have to wait a few weeks to get the correct one...j/k. You need to loosen the allen heads bolts, align it to the aftercooler inlet, and then tighten up the allen head bolts.

I read your first sentence and almost immediately responded with a WHAT?!

It's super easy to clock though.

Its correct, all you have to do is loosen the bolts and clock it.

I'm doing the same thing this weekend! I've already gotten the 1000 and aftercooler off and parts swapped over, tomorrow will be mounting and putting it all back together.

Cheers, I've loosened the bolts and will get the orientation right once I've mounted it onto the engine then tighten the bolts with it all in place.

Good luck Kenny. I've noticed a few things different like the oil drain mounting and fittings look to be push hose instead of a threaded connector.

There's also a few drain hole plugs around the supercharger, I'm waiting for some sealant to make sure they don't leak..

I removed the push hose connector and used the AN fitting from the Novi 1000, was a real PITA to get in there as as socket won't fit, and the space is really tight for a wrench.

Other than that everything else went very smoothly, mine has the black coating and I think it looks great (though it can get scratched fairly easily).

Looks great Kenny.. Any reason you didn't keep the 1200s push connector for the oil drain though? The Novi 1000 drain is a nightmare!
