Default SoS Supercharger High Boost Kit?

http://scienceofspeed.com/products/engine_...rcharger/06-08/

I am a new owner of a 2006 GPW S2000, I have only had one car that was boosted, a Superchraged VR6 Jetta running 10 psi. The car had roughly 270t and 315hp. I loved the power delivery and the reliablity of the kit. I regretted only one thing, stage 3, where I was at, was IT. I wanted the ability to go faster, haha.

Now I am 4 years older, and dont really need that as much. I do however want the car to be able to hold its own against the car of choice here in the midwest, a f body or mustang. I dont go out street racing so differentials, transmissions wont be something of high replacement for me, I hope.

The reason I like the SoS kit is because of 1. Its clean install. Easy bold on. no intercooler piping up front, to cutting or tapping into the oil pan, etc. 2. It is upgradeable to achieve upwards of 450 wheel horse with a few internal mods and Kpro. I spoke to Chris at Sos and feel pretty confident this is the direction I would like to go. Turbo just seems to harsh for a car that I wont be beating on and expecting to "smoke" every race that comes up.

I need a third party opinion on the quality and reliablity of this kit. Of course Chris recommends it, but of course he would, haha. Kraftwerks isnt really for me BTW.

I like the comptech kit, as it is tried and true, been around forever. I just need more I guess.

Any comments and suggestions are most appreciated!

Thank you

450 wheel horse u will need a lower the cp of the engine, which is build the engine...
u will be good with around 400 whps with 12 psi, u don't need to build ur engine with that .

good luck..
as for myself i am going with Vortech, they both great kit, make ur own choice, and good luck..

you dont need to build you engine for 450+ you can achieve this by just using a 3mm hg to lower compression.

the SOS kit is a gr8 kit. It uses the novi 1220 which is a big upgrade from the comptech kit's 1200. comptech will release a new kit with the new blower but who knows when they are gonna bring it out for dbw especially. id get the SOS and have fun

Agreed. Happy SoS owner here on AP1. Their kit is definitely quality, looks good under the hood, and their HP estimates appear spot on with real world results from the owners that have them.

SOS High boost kit (8.5psi) In the video I never hit 8500 rpm so you can expect a little more top end than you see here.

SC it's not effecient enough as turbo..
the blower itself maxed out at 17 or 18 psi..
so with the 3mm HG.. it won't reach that....
