Shit's confusing.

But I got a kick out of it either way.

I know you're just being funny but the naming convention has been the same since the GT ball bearing turbocharger has been around.

Hmm, it sounds like if you want fast spool your top end suffers. If you want higher hp you get slower spool due to the turbo requirements. I think the mani also plays a part.

I think the OP wants something to not run out of steam on pump piss revving the car out. So if using 3576 it's 400 ponies give or take unless you want higher octane fuel and even then, it sounds like the 3582 would be a better choice if that's the case.

Road racing and fast spool- 3576
Street car with good spool and more top end-3582

I'm not taking into account the 30 series because that is not what this thread is about.

I'm pretty sure they were refering to me. I run the same gtx356r turbo on a stock f20c on 91 octane pump gas at 14psi of boost. I run the track forged sidwinder manifold which is t3 open scroll and i run a t3 .63ar hotside on the turbo. The OP's dyno show that twin scroll does work as his car does spool about 1,000rpm faster than my car!! but the differance is that his car and my car both make about 375whp at 7,000 rpm but my car makes an addition 60+whp to the 9,000 redline compared to the op's car that stops making power at 7,000rpm

here is my dyno

Sure, but since they've made them much more modular it's a pain in the ass now lol All started with that damn 3071 IIRC lol

Precision used to be easy as well, now it's a nightmare when reading threads haha

That Church dyno sheet is deceiving...probably need to subtract ~10% to be comparable to low reading DynaPacks.

After talking to chris and s2000442 on the phone today I think I have decided to give e85 a try. I have a walbro 255 and id1000s so I think that shouod give me enough space to go more aggressive on the ignition map for my 10 and 15psi map.

I have a feeling I will still hit a flat line but just closer to redline.

Thoughts?

hi, been reading this thread for a couple months now.Its sad to see all this stuff the OP is going thru after spending a couple grands on this.

Got my car returned today. I have the GT3582r kit installed. The install was normal, with no problems encountered, there was no need to improvise in any step of the installation. This kit looks and fits like if it was Honda Oem. To me thats a plus.

Opening build thread in coming days.. few days later some dyno numbers.

Making power on e85/race gas is easy. As long as you have the fuel system to support it you max out the turbo pretty easy. The problem is you will max out your fuel system way before you max out the turbo. If your going e85 I high suggest you get a Walbro e85 400 pump and 2000cc injectors. Your Walbro 255 and I'd 1000"s will max out at 450-500whp with e85.

With e85 you will make over 50whp more just with more timing alone before you even start upping the boost.
