SOT or SOS

wish i knew someone with a machine shop and who was a car nut, be nice to try and shoehorn a tvs1320 or mp90-mp112 in there. maybe jackshaft it so that the blower can pooint the opposite way.
I am another happy SOT owner. I used a bigger pulley and heat exchanger to get more power.
I think that the weight of the kit is the only drawback. If I installed everything that came with the kit I would guess that it is close to 80lbs.

Happy SOT owner here. You are limited as to how much power you can get in total with the SOT, but I am not complaining. Its is pretty quick, and if you put your foot into it you will get to seriously illegal speeds in no time. It is not going to keep up with the high whp turbos on the board, but it is plenty fast without the power levels that start a guy like me breaking things or wrapping it around a tree.
I am fine with where it is for power out of the box and you can get them cheap from James if you can find his contact information.
I always thought that the kit would be enough power for me and it has been. I am not about street/track/drag racing just wanted to make the car a blast to drive around town and thats what I got.
The install could be easier but the kit is worth the money and its fun enough that it keeps me from spending money on a Cayman.

SOS kit is a great kit but the Novi makes that god awful rattling noise. You probably don't hear while your in the car but I would never want to pop the hood and start it up for someone. Don't get me wrong some people probably love the noise and hate the banshee scream of the roots(which makes me run and get a
, I love it) I was thinking about going turbo at one time, but I stumble upon a thread of guy who had the SOS kit tune by Mase and saw the numbers and started to
.. Which lead me to rethink supercharger, but now I'm stuck between the SOTor SOS. 350whp is good and that low end is so attractive. How about 380, is that manageable?
Hey Camuman, what the hell was CandyManJL doing when you guys started to take off?
It look like he swerved toward you, what an asshole.
I think the jealously got to him.
Sure. I will snap a few shot of what I did, but I do know if anyone will do the same. Some might find my setup a bit extreme since it is on a race car. It involves cutting body panels, firewalls, trunk floors.
The jist is this though.
The heat exchanger is a upgrade for the 03-04 cobra from Fluidyne. Part number FHP30-03COB-HX. I bought mine from Summit for just over $200. I found the same part on a sketchy mustang site, and asked Summit to match it. I had to make my own brackets to mount it, but it was pretty straight forward. I mounted mine in the trunk, so it is probably no help to anyone. I am finding that the intake temps are within 5 deg ambient when the car is moving.
Much like other kits, the larger pulley is an option that you have when you place order. I am learning that the boost increase is dependent on the total system (intake, header, exhaust, etc.), so each car is different. Anthony has tested some larger pulleys than what I have, so maybe he can shed some light on how it affected his car.
