Default Spark blow out - why now?

Running a mase turbo gt35r setup, pump 'ish fuel at 20 psi with okada coil packs, stock engine.

I put brand new bkr8eix in stock gap which I think is 0.32, car was put on dyno and ran for approx 1500 miles with no issues.

I started to get missfire is felt/sounded like at 7k and above all of sudden.

Looked over things and thought it could the plugs or something else, so checked injectors etc etc.

I tapped the waste gate and Bov in case they were sticking but put some bkr8eix's in but gapped them to 0.26, the car doesn't seem to missfire now but wondering if it is the plugs and if it why has it just materialised now?

I take it it isn't the waste gate or Bov as an aem log didn't show up any issues.

Thanks

20 psi on pump fuel sounds like a lot.

Anyway, I'm on the same ngks like you with stock gap and at anything over +10psi I get slight popping especially on colder weather or boost spikes....
Like you my plugs are at the stock gaping which is quit large for a FI car in my opinion, so I was planning to close the gaps a little bit and see if that make things better.

my plugs have about 10.000 miles on them.

Tomorrow I will regap them and report back.

Sorry forgot to reply your question, where I am the weather has started getting colder by the day, if weather is the same at your place, maybe the extra coolness and elevated pressure has pushed your sparks/coils just over their limit.

20psi is a good amount of boost. Try gaping them down to .25-.28 and you should be good.

. 018-.025 gap. Just keep dropping gap until misfire disappears. It's not that big a deal.

Correction running 0.26

Seems to have got rid of it, but i want to run as big as gap as possible without fowling and miss-fires - i think the okada's have helped a little for sure because on the dyno it didn't do it nor has it for the last 1000miles.

Not sure why its suddenly just happened now?, only thing i can think of is because they have now been used and thus the conductivity/spark was on the cusp of blow out with brand new ones and the okada, more miles on them has tipped them over the edge.

Weather hasn't changed much only a few degrees colder.

Thanks

well the spark jumps from the sharp edges of the plug and every spark takes some of edge with it and the voltage required to induce the spark goes up until you reach the maximum voltage available then path of least resistance kicks in and in this case the voltage doesn't go anywhere and is how boostaspark works by increasing the step up voltage you increase the voltage buildup in the coil winding giving more voltage available to jump the gap
