I was having the same problem with my car. im not sure if i fouled out my plugs cranking my car so much on cold start with E85, (had to adjust crank pulse in lower temp range) or if it was something else.

after i got it to start i figured i'd go for some rips before i put it into storage for the year and it was breaking up past like 5k lol

i would think more gap would help it start? but less gap is needed it seems.

i have plasma coils on my car.. will the boost-a-spark help with cranking?

Just a quick update.
After closing the gaps of the plugs just a tinny bit, all my popping under boost has stopped. It now pulls cleanly all the way to the revlimiter.

I've been watching this thread a bit because I've had this issue only below about 40deg ambient. I don't run my car much at these temps but since I have I've seen this a bit. I have always had my plugs at. 032. I changed them down to. 026 last night and ran it this morning. Ambient (per the cars outside temp reading) was 23-24 deg all the way in to work (43 miles). I ran it to 8300 4 times and no more breakup. This seems to have solved the issue for me. Just my .02.

I've been told to run copper plugs bcr8es as they are less fragile and will help with blow out due bigger tip/electrode however you need to change them more often.

I run NGK7's initially on the dyno the gap was left to whatever they come with. It was breaking up at higher RPMS and the gapped was changed to .024 and haven't had any issues since. But I do change my plugs every oil change. I am at 16psi peaks 18 sometimes on a BWs366. Stock compression.
