NGK BKR8EIX for sure. The Denso Iridium's I believe had the problems but not the NGK's.

These are the plugs Ive been told by numerous people to stay away from because they misfire and foul out so quickly. These being gapped a few times didnt change anything either.

I have never had a problem with them when I had them gapped down to .028" and I was making 581 whp and 440 tq on the stock coils. Although, I was told to go with copper NGK's and so I did. Well, within a couple hundred miles I was experienceing spark blowout even with them gapped to .022", also misfiring at times and the idle became rough. I am going back with the NGK iridium's and which I never had any of these issues with even gapped to .028". There are also many very high horsepower guys on here running the NGK BKR8EIX with no problems.

I run the NGK BKR8EIX at stock gap of .030 with my setup with zero problems. I really like them and my tuner did also since we didn't have to gap them further.

As stated above, stay away from the DENSO iridiums, Ive personally had misfire problems with them.

We were having issues around 5-5500 rpm (vtec area) and the car would just start spitting everywhere. the car does have Okada Project Coil packs, which were originally dyno from Okada on this motor with the stock NGK Iridiums. They made 17 lbs torque, and 8 hp. Injectors were a little clogged causing the problem i believe which basically ruined the plugs.Few people ive seen run ngk 7173 but i dont know much about them. im gonna go ahead and buy both the iridium (bkr8eix) and copper plugs just to be safe.. doesnt . Thanks for the help guys!.

The 7173's are the copper's I was told to run and I had those problems that I previously mentioned.

What ex manifold are you running? Youre problem may not be the plugs and may just be VTEC being set too low. This is common with log style manifolds because they dont flow well with our well flowing head. With log manifolds, upwards of 7000 rpm VTEC engagement is pretty much normal. Most are around 6200-6800 VTEC engagement with the log type manifolds
