And so ends day two of the install. Basically, here's a rundown of what I've gotten done so far:
1) Remove heat shield, header
2) Remove CAI
3) Remove nose and ALL splash guards (trust me, in the end it's a hell of a lot easier and faster)
4) Drain oil (very messy... I have an inclined driveway and had the front up on ramps)
5) Drain coolant (not on purpose... I'll explain more later)
6) Mount exhaust manifold / turbo (assemble and tighten bolts prior to install)
7) Mount oil filter relocation hardware
8) Mount intercooler and all associated piping
9) Mount BOV
10) Mount FMU
I think that's all I've done to date. Slow going but there are some things that are very important! For starters, make sure you have a second car to make runs to Home Depot. Next, if at all possible, it is very useful to have an additional set of hands (ie: someone helping you) due to the nature of the install. Unless you're a contortionist and can turn a ratchet with your feet while using both of your hands to hold things in place. What I have left to do:
1) Install vacuum hoses
2) Drill and tap oil pan for feed to turbo
3) Install oil feed
3) Relocate oil pressure sensor
4) Install intake... (possible will butcher CAI to have "ram air" intake)
5) Install K&N filters (1 on manifold, 1 on air pump)
6) Fill coolant and bleed system
7) Fill oil
8) Program V-AFC
9) Install boost controller
10) Install gauges
11) Get flange adapter for downpipe to CAT
Here are some pictures. The journey continues tomorrow. I hope to have the car running by lunchtime.
I'll probably have it tuned a week from Monday. The local guys are having a dyno day at one of the local shops. My only gripe is that they have a Mustang dyno. I may use them to tune it and then take it to another shop to have it dynoed on a Dynojet. Don't know yet. And yes, I can drive it "untuned" because I will have the V-AFC "baseline" settings from Speedcraft. They won't be exact but close enough. I'm hoping for about 285-290 at the rear wheels on pump gas.

Bax, I'm going to stay with my HKS until I can get the $$ for a custom 3" with N1's.
Warren, I'm just pulling things apart and learning as I go along. I had a 91' MR2 Turbo that I played around with a lot and I downloaded every pic I could find of the speedcraft setup from Chris and Derryk. Add several phone calls to Todd at Speedcraft and I'm hooked up. LOL.
So damn close but no go yet. If only I had the damn 9/16" tap!! I could be done if I had the damn tap. The only thing I have left to do is drill and tap the oil pan then hook up the oil return line from the turbo. (oh yeah, and I need an 18" piece of 3/8" hose to go from the Fuel Pressure Regulator to the FMU) After working 8 hours Friday, 13 hours Saturday and 13 hours today I'm shot! It's not an easy job by yourself. I would say if two knowledgable people were working on the install and had ALL the necessary bits and pieces (Not to mention all the right tools...) the job could be done in 10 hours. That's two people 10 hours total 20 hours. And again, that's just my observation. Basically, after I drill and tap the oil pan and run the hoses, I'm ready to fill her up with oil and coolant and see what she can do. In all honesty, I think that if the kit had come with detailed directions I probably would never have started this!! It is a lot of work!! A couple things that are must haves: S2000 shop manuals and a Dremel! BIG help! But here are pictures of the home stretch:
