Went to check up on my installation status today... My shop removed the oil pan completely when they were installing my turbo.

Sorry I didn't post an update last night, but I passed out. Well, I'm finished with the install portion of the kit and have the following two problems:

1) oil leak where the oil return goes into the pan. Not bad, but needs to be fixed.
2) oil leak where the "non-swivel" elbow screws into the oil relocate bracket. Again, not bad but I think I may just install another swivel style elbow to make life easier.

Other than that, I had her up and running yesterday. Since I haven't brought it to the muffler shop yet I'm running out the the downpipe... Can you say LOUD!!! But it sounds really awesome! I just plugged in the new "baseline" V-AFC settings that I got from speedcraft while the coolant was draining and as soon as I'm done bleeding the coolant, I'll take her to a muffler shop to find out what options I have. I'll also be installing the gauges and boost controller today. (or at least starting them!)

I'm not 100% sure. I would think about $1,500 or more. But I'm just guessing. My check engine light just came on... Any hints on how to check the "trouble code" and how to reset it? Any help would be appreciated.

I would not be surprised if it is an emissions sensor problem -- with the exhaust being off as it is.

On the cars I have had -- disconnecting and re-connecting the battery clears the check engine light unless the problem re-occurs. I can not help ya with the code...

Alright, I found the reset procedure for the check engine light in the library on this site. Now I just need to figure out what the hell caused it! Man, I should have never even started this project. Heh, just kidding. It's a really good learning experience though.

Larry, how many hours total have you spent so far on this turbo install?

You are one brave man!

Um... well... I guess... around 40? But what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger (and faster!) right? LOL
