Stock Coolant Temp Sensor calibration

I'm not too worried about changing it I guess. I mean I see 205 F on my EMS but in reality the engine is at around 185 F.
So, with that said, leaving my fans coming on at 195 F at where my calibration settings are at now, the engine is really at around 175 F and that's just fine with me.

As long as you can remember that its good... but wouldn't it be easier and quicker when reading any log or reading to just have it input and have the EMS just show the proper number?

Thanks for the info buddy

Btw, drove the car last night with the new calibration, and it makes much more sense...and also my mind is so much more at ease seeing those numbers

Temp didn't go over 195 which is pretty much RIGHT after the fan turns on

I already got an aftermarket radiator, so lets see how the temp does after the radiator.

Yeah, you are right and I will eventually change it to show the exact engine temps But for now at least I have an idea where it stands and it doesn't have to get done or be my top priority right now.

cool coolbut just fyi, it took me ~15-20 mins for the whole process which included:
- getting my lazy ass out of my chair and going upstairs and to the garage
- getting laptop out of trunk
- plugging it in and pulling down the current workmap
- unplugging laptop and taking it back to my room
- inputting information into the laptop
- saving file
- walking back to the garage
- plugging in and uploading the file to the EMS
- shutting it off then turning it back on and reconnecting to verify upload went well
- putting laptop away
- going back to my room
so its not a time consuming project, just letting you know in case that was a reason for you not updating it
Either way, bottom line is as long as you understand whats going on, it doesn't matter what the computer shows.
