Default supercharged test pipe

Alright I just got my Berk test pipe, and want some feedback from people who are either vortech or comptech supercharged that are running a test pipe and does not have any tuning done.

My concern is that having the test pipe will throw off my A/F ratios making it not as safe to drive the car. Let me know

Thanks,

i remember reading about someone with exhaust and test pipe and they were running lean after they went to the dyno. i think mid to high 13 afr's in the upper rpms is what i saw he had. i'm not sure if it was vortech though. i'm sure it will vary car to car.. your best bet is to get a wideband or goto the dyno and check it out yourself

having an exhaust and test pipe will lean out your A/F mixture but by how much is different with everybodies car.

I have a Megan header, an Invidia test pipe and an Invidia Cat back exhaust....my A/F fuel ratio at WOT and vtec engage is between 10.5 and 11.5 ......i don't know where you get that info that these kind of add on modification will make your car run lean as a matter of fact it makes your car even more faster at wide open throttle. Oh! by the way...I just walked a Dodge Charger SRT/8 last week.....and it's fun beating a HEMI.

I'm not sure I am getting what you are saying.

I read that at 7LBS on a comptech Sc with exhaust and test pipe that it didnt tune right. Either it ran pig rich in the low RPM's and then was OK at the top or it was fine in the bottom and then lean up top. (Using a Comptech FPR)
That is why I have not gotten a test pipe for my car..

Well I just put mine on and I have too say I like the first impression. Sounds awesome, and definatley pulls harder. I am just hoping that since I have a Vortech kit it wil run better than the comptech's with a TP.
