supercharged test pipe
when i twincharged my mini i was looking to hit 11.1-11.6 afr's... im really amazed these motors can take high 13's afr's on boost!!! thats impressive the motor hasnt shot a rod through the block yet... lots of power with those afr's... lots of chances of bad things happening!

I've been Vorteched for a number of years now. At one point, I went with a t.pipe while I had the Fujitsubo cat back. Other than the horrible stink and clouds of black smoke that emminated when I floored it, the a/f didn't really change noticably. Due to the smell and the smoke, I put the cat back on.
With Comptech, however, it has been noted by some owners that a t.pipe and cat back will lean out the a/f to an almost alarming rate.
To be sure, you would have to check the a/f.

So do you guys think it would be safe for me to run my vortech supercharger with a test pipe for a month or two until I get it tuned?
Spending 20 minutes to slap the cat back on for a month is well worth not hearing a BOOM!
Not like I'll be WOTing much in winter anyway.
But if I'm not WOTing, then maybe I could keep the TP on?
Hmmmmm.....

Just curious. Since all these aftermarket test pipe will lean out the car......What about comptech test pipe? Since all of their parts are suppose to run good right out of the box.....wouldn't a comptech test pipe be safe? I would assumed for sure they have tested it on a supercharger.
