It would also help if you indicated what part of this VAST continent you live in. You could also post this in the regional forum in which you live. You just never know how much the "locals" know about such things.

The Comptech factory is right next door to you. They do good work. I've witnessed it myself.

Hey,

Is someone going to make a roots type blower for the S2k. This would seem ideal as the motor is not lacking power uptop. Its the 2 liters of of honda civic power down there and it would be nice to have some low end torque. This can be some-what acheived with a turbo, but with a roots blower it should have even more. Anyone know if Jackson or other company's are going to do it?

Yes, and they have been saying it will be out real soon now since 2000.

I have talked to the comptech guys about that actually and they had several of RnD time into a root style. After all the tests where done they couldnt get crap for power out of it. heat soak like crazy. Then they switched SCs to a centrifical type and it blew away the root. Totally not worth it.

And therein lies the point. Every 5 mintues someone extoles the virtues of a positive displacement blower. It's not until someone actually bothers to test it that they find the limits.
